This piece was handcrafted by Vic to display a deer he harvested himself, making it both a woodworking project and a keepsake from the hunt.
The European-style skull and antlers are mounted on a custom backer handcrafted from beautiful quarter-sawn white oak, with the natural grain and live edge becoming part of the design. As an extra personal detail, Vic incorporated the bullet from the hunt directly into the mount, preserving another small piece of the story.
Rather than simply displaying the antlers, he created something specifically around them—turning a memory from the hunt into a one-of-a-kind piece of craftsmanship that can be enjoyed for years to come.
