This hand-carved woodland gnome is easily one of my favorite pieces Vic has ever created.
From his wonderfully tall, crooked hat to his oversized nose, deeply carved beard, and tiny boots, every part of him was shaped by hand and given its own character. The natural knots and markings throughout the wood only add to his rustic, woodland feel.
There's just something about this guy that makes me smile. He's whimsical, a little quirky, and unlike anything you could pick up from a store.
He's a perfect example of what I love about Vic's work—starting with an ordinary piece of wood and carving away until something completely full of personality emerges.
